Review: Funding Feeding Frenzy - Nov. 5

For all of you who did not attend last Thursday's Funding Feeding Frenzy (FFF), I have three words: You missed out!

With over eighty attendees, eight presenting companies, and fourteen demo tables, this most recent FFF showed off the latest in Tech, Food & Beverage, and Consumer Products.

Wannado's Steven Buhrman came up to Chicago from Nashville, TN, to talk about how his team's work connects Nashville newbies to customized, hip spots for eating, drinking, and reveling. With partners like Lyft and the Nashville Symphony, Wannado, your mobile concierge, will find your next favorite itinerary item and get you there to boot!

Attendees also sampled delicious rum and agave spirits from Tailwinds Distilling in nearby Plainfield, IL. One of VentureSHOT's favorite vendors, Tailwinds was founded by two pilot brothers, Jamey and Toby Beall, with a passion for the evocative flavors they had sampled on their travels. The brothers Beall have since distilled their knowledge into award-winning liquors that anyone can try at their tasting room.

Sage Vertical Garden Systems presented about their wall-mounted garden designs that liven up any home or office space. Sage's green-thumbed team also demo'd new lamp-gardens with design and health in mind.

So if you'd like to attend in the future, mark your calendars for Thursday, February 25, 2016.
